I don’t mean to be rude like this, but you are wrong. No way that the Army would just throw out something like ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’ I am in the Army and i can tell you that something they tell you is ‘You are a soldier 24/7.’ And by being a soldier, that means you abide by UCMJ (UNiform Code of Military Justice). I am not saying that by being a soldier, you have to closed minded. I don’t care what you sexual orientation is, as long as you can hold a rifle, and cover my behind when i need it, you’re my battle buddy. Now to prove that even though we are at war, the Army is still discharging people for being homosexuals. http://www.cnn.com/2001/US/06/01/military.homosexuals/index.html I can’t find a link that has a story that is very interesting, but maybe you can find it if i tell you about it. The Army discharged some soldier for engaging in homosexual acts. These soldier were at Ft. Huachuca(sp?) and what was interesting is that the were Arabic Linguists, one of the Army’s high demand languages.
