I’m black and love swimming. Note: Like many black women, I straighten my hair via a ‘perm.’ After I finish swimming, I wash my hair and then style it as usual (I do the same thing after I go to the gym). Women should not let their hair prevent them from swimming – or anything else that is fun! PS – I always get lots of compliments about my hair.
