Jessica19720ParticipantI don’t think it’s that we lack anything in terms of rhythm, but it’s more acceptable in the African-American community for people to take ‘risks’ in making themselves look stupid than in the traditional Caucasian community. As a result, rhythm and dancing have become intrinsic to black culture and it’s easily passed from one generation to the next. A white child with rhythm will probably not be given the same opportunities to express his talent until he grows old enough to become aware of it himself.
