The ancient Chinese sage Sun Zi said, ‘Know your enemy and you won’t be defeated’. Do we know our enemy? If we don’t, then we are doomed. Terrorism is not an ideology, it is a tool; but the terrorists kill for an ideology. They call that ideology Islam. The entire world, both Muslims and non-Muslims claim that the terrorists have hijacked ‘the religion of peace’ and Islam does not condone violence. Who is right? Do the terrorists understand Islam better, or do those who decry them? The answer to this question is the key, and failure to find that key will result in our loss and death will be upon us. The key is in the Quran and the history of Islam. Those who know Islam know that the understanding of the terrorists is correct. And the terrorists of Islam are doing nothing that their prophet did not do and did not encourage his followers to do. Murder, rape, assassination, beheading, massacre and sacrilege of the dead ‘to delight the hearts of the believers’ were all practiced by Muhammad, were taught by him and are observed by Muslims now and throughout their history. If truth ever mattered, it matters most now. Attitudes toward Islam and Islamic terrorists, like the one expressed here, are very, very dangerous. We need to understand the problem and treat its cause and not its symptoms. The root of the problem and the root of Islamic terrorism is Islam. The proof is in the Quran.

Here’s the scoop…and how’d you miss this tidbit from the ‘prophet?’ Purdah In India the word purdah means screen or veil. Purdah is the practice that includes the seclusion of women from public observation by wearing concealing clothing from head to toe. Purdah is practiced by Muslims and by various Hindus, especially in India. Women in the upper and middle class tend to practice purdah because they can afford not to work outside the home. In Islamic countries, no woman could go outside unless masked and chaperoned by a male from the family. In the 7th century A.D., during the conquest of Iran, Muslims probably adapted the idea of purdah to their religion. The Prophet Muhammad reintroduced the custom as part of the Islamic tenets of faith. As time went by the laws associated with purdah became more severe. Some critics see purdah as an evil influence that has only suffocated the rights of women and perpetuated male chauvinism. They point towards the Muslims in India who have shut off women from the outside world in order to make them ignorant of the practicalities of life. To them it has deprived the woman of economic independence and forces these females to produce chauvinistic boys and submissive girls. In order to keep females submissive, women know only what their fathers, husbands, and sons want them to know. Critics see women who practice purdah as having no voice or free will. Believers in Islam, see purdah as a very positive and respectful practice that actually liberates women because it brings about an aura of respect. Women are judged not by their physical beauty but by their inner beauty and mind. They are not looked at as sex objects that can be dominated. For Muslims it is an act of faith that entails honor, respect, and dignity. Islam exalts the status of women by commanding that women should enjoy equal rights with men and remain on the same footing as them (this is a hard one to believe). The role of purdah has become more controversial since the rise of the women’s movement. Purdah has almost disappeared in the Hindu practice and is practiced to greater and lesser degrees in many Islamic countries. Either way the practice of purdah is looked at, whether in a negative or positive light, it stills remains an integral part of everyday life for some peoples and marks a part of their culture.

The simple answer is that Islam is a terrible religion founded on subjugation of women, killing of all ‘Infidels’ i.e. non muslims, lying (it’s in the Quar’an) and intolerant of anything or anyone not a Muslim or of the Islamic religion. Don’t be fooled by their ‘peace’ rhetoric it’s all smoke and mirrors. Two informative sites: http://www.answering-islam.org.uk/index.html especially the section on Islam and terrorism and http://www.yahoodi.com/peace/palestinians.html section on Jihad, apostasy, and killing infidels.
