I always hate the answer that someone has to be the head of the family and that person should be the man. Why? because we live in a patriarchal society where we just assume men are better leaders - that's one reason. What about team work - why can't the husband and wife be an equal team? why does someone have to be the head, boss, leader? Because obviously whoever is in that position will have more power, I don't care how egalitarian he thinks he is.
