I don’t feel I abandoned my birth religion so much as I moved on from it. As I have gotten older I have found that religions raise more questions than they answer. There are too many ‘holes’ and too much hypocracy in religious teachings. To be a believer a person must often ignore reason. I can’t believe in something because someone tells me to. I need to live my life knowing that I am doing the right thing, because I know it to be the right decision to make, for myself and those around me.
