Yes, in the Bible are passages that seem to allude to the subservience of women to men. However, taken in context, you see that there is a mutual subservience. We are instructed that we are ALL servants to EVERYONE. We are expected to behave with a mutual respect and support for all members of the community. This has been the teaching of the Church for hundreds of years. Many Doctors of the Church wrote extensively on the subject of equality before society accepted women as equals. This is another example of society's misuse of faith.
