The Pill could decrease desire depending on the type/dosage and the woman’s personal body chemistry. I tried a triphasic Pill briefly, but had awful lubrication problems–it was almost like going through menopause. So I went back to Ortho-Novum. The Pill also seemed to ‘even out’ sexual desire over the monthly cycle, instead of having increased desire just before ovulation (the fertile time period) and less desire before or during menstruation. In my opinion, a woman may have to try more than one type of Pill before she finds one that works best for her.
