I feel the issue is more based on political motives of keeping the religious “anti-gay” sects happy, and also to keep the federal government from having to pay Social Security survivor benefits to the gay partners who are left when their spouse passes on.

B.B.: I agree with you completely. In a homosexual relationship, the sexual portion is done by willing, sane and competent (we hope) adults. When engaging in pedophilia, one party is not an adult and even if the child has been bribed to “like” the adult so that sexual favors may be granted, the child is not able to make a decision based on experience.
