I think that many black people see your white stereotypical old-school Republican as ‘the man’. The one always trying to keep the black man down and never giving a brother a break. Someone who’s opposed to many of the social programs which often aid the black community and happy to keep things the way they are. They see democrats as more progressive and more accepting of social reforms.
