Actually there is no where in Mormon doctrine that states that Kolob is the ‘sun’ in God’s solar system. There is no doctrine that states that God lives on a planet. Where God lives is not specifically noted in mormon doctrine. It is mormon doctrine that God has created multipule worlds and Kolob is the planet closest to God.
