I heard about the book on the show ‘Oh Drama,’ also. And, I find the title funny. The title would be racist if the book wasn’t written by a white male. So, this wasn’t a black person making fun of a white person. This has nothing to do with races joking about other races. It all depends on who is making that type of statement.

Slavery has nothing to do with the reason why some African American men are promiscuous and father many children nowadays. Those men do it because their lack of respect for women and themselves. But, there are just as many men of other races doing the same things (e.g. white men). If there would be any truth to the slavery cause of promiscuity, it would be about why white men have the number of children that they do. It was the white man who had two or more sets of families. One was with his white wife, and the others were with the slaves who he had affairs with or raped. So, with answering your question, no the egos of black men have not been dented by slavery, in that prospective.
