Unless they are soiled and dirty I sit on public toilet seats. When cooking I have been known to sneak a taste from the spoon and put it back in the pot. I don't think it's right. I know it's wrong. It's like one of life's guilty pleasures. I Kiss my husband in the morning without brushing my teeth. I have morning breath, he has morning breath, I love him anyway and I am under the impression that he loves me. I hate washcloths and at home I usually scour myself with a loofah. However, when I shower at the gym (where BTW I sit on the toilet seat) I just lather up with my bare hands. Last time I checked I was black. It is possible that the things you are observing are regional or even personal and not racial preferences.
