I am white. Have been all my life. Yes, I sit on public toilets (if clean) without paper under my rump - few if any diseases are passed through the skin, and few if any viruses survive outside the host for long (on your average toilet seat, for example). Yes, when cooking for the family I will stir or taste using the same spoon, however never when guests are expected. Yes, I kiss my partner in the morning without brushing - I've had worse things in my mouth.

But I have never noticed different hygiene among the races. In fact, my relationship with my Hispanic partner has RELAXED many of my Puritanical attitudes about such things, like using a knife as a screwdriver or cleaning paintbrushes in the kitchen sink, things I would have never done prior to our relationship, but which he encouraged.
