Your sexual orientation is no one’s business when you are doing your job. However, I would caution you that some parents, especially of sons, would probably be hesistant or concerned because they would not want their son to ‘act gay’ if you are particularly feminine. I think as long as you teach your children and don’t make it an issue (just as a straight teacher should not make it an issue of who they sleep with) you’ll be just fine.
