As a mom of 3 kids under the age of 11, I would say that sexual orientation is the least of my concerns when it comes to my kids teachers. My 3-year-old daughter has a male preschool teacher. The kids love him and enjoy learning from him. It honestly never occurred to me to care if he was gay. My son (age 10) has never had a male teacher, but I always thought it would be good for him to have that sort of role model.
