DavidParticipantYes, I read there. Growing up, it was the one place in the house you could read a book without people sitting down to talk to you or telling you to go outside. At night, it was the only place in the house you could have a light on without getting in trouble.User Detail :

DavidParticipantI volunteer at a transgender support agency. The answer is that it depends on the transwoman. Some are heterosexual (attracted to men), some are lesbians (attracted to women), some are bisexual (attracted to men and women) and some are all the other types of sexual. Many people do not know what their sexual orientation is until after they deal with their gender issues.User Detail :

DavidParticipantThis is a cultural thing stemming from A. the protector/provider must be big and strong and B. it is much harder to look down on someone who is taller than you. Many religions/cultures consider women as second class citizens, who must be protected/kept in their place. If the person is stronger/taller, it is harder to do that. As a side note,I am 5'4' and have rarely dated a woman shorter than I am, as there aren't many. My girlfriend is 6' tall. If there were trouble, I would expect her to get out of the way so I could deal with the trouble without having to worry that she would get hurt.User Detail :

DavidParticipantI feel I can answer this question, as I volunteer in the GLBT community. Most of the gay people I have met have brothers and sisters who are overwhelmingly heterosexual. If homosexuality were 'Nurture' then the brothers and sisters tend to be homosexual as well. There have been studies, including studies of twins separated at birth, which I found the most fascinating, as here were people raised by two separate families - in almost all cases, if one twin were homosexual, so was the other one. The percentage was lower for fraternal twins (one egg fertilized by two separate sperm) and higher for paternal twins (one egg, one sperm, ova splits into two separate ova, both share the same genetic material.)User Detail :

DavidParticipantIf you are in the car with us, we cannot ask for directions. It would be showing you that we cannot take care of you and so you would leave us for the first guy with a map. I kow it sounds weird, but it is the subconcious result of our upbringing.User Detail :
