The reason we can do that with the bible is most of the books were written by diffent people, who could have interpreted things differently. Just look at the gospels, they’re all about Jesus, but very different, plus all the translations since biblical times, plus things that could have been edited, plus how in medieval times the catholic church decided which book would be in the bible and which wouldn’t makes it VERY easy to pick and choose if you wish
