I’m somewhat surprised that the responses to this question assume that the premise is true. Whites engage in the most disgusting behavior? What about Rick James and his physical abuse? What about Prince and his, well, everything? What about Michael Jackson and that Macauley Culkin thing? What about Chuck Berry and his ‘brown games?’ All were African American, all did some pretty weird stuff. Your real question should be ‘is this really race-specific behavior?’ I think the answer would be that it is class and not race. The affluent have historically been pretty good at coming up with bizarre ways to spend their idle time. It just so happens that most of the affluent have been white up until recently.
