When I was in high school, this was very popular among the boys. You also tend to see a lot of this in the South. Most guys around here don’t drive brand new trucks as their first vehicles so they try to make them stand out or ‘cool’ by adding all these special additions. They grow out of it immediately when they go to college and realize nobody does that sort of think anymore.
