As with any racial fear or hate, Italians don't truly know African Americans, so they assume what the media potrays. Most Italian-American people I know are really involved in their culture, society and family. It is very rare to see an Italian-American person interact with another race. A rich culture caused the Italian community to be blinded from other cultures. From that, we see curiosity blinded by hatred.
