Bianca ReyMemberI am born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Down here it seems that everyone is multiracial. Most people I knew were ‘mixed’. So it would seem that interracial couplings are not looked down upon in all places in the South. I don’t think it’s fair to lump all places in the ‘South’ as being one way or another. Technically Florida is part of the South, but has a totally different racial dynamic than say Alabama. I’ve found there is racism wherever you go, but you shouldn’t let that be a reason to not move somewhere. In fact I’ve found racism more prevalent in Texas.
