    Have you ever played basketball on street courts in the United States, especially in certain neighborhoods? Aggressiveness and the ability to play through whatever your opponents do is a virtue. What you describe is how men in many societies are taught to play; some would say as practice or a substitute for hunting and/or war. Perhaps. But my main point is that it’s not unique to Latinos, or the world’s game.
