Why do people (mostly twentysomethings, it seems) get tattoos? I feel that, eventually, EVERYBODY who gets a tattoo will regret it. If you think that barbed wire wrapped around your upper arm, or that trendy oriental symbol allegedly representing ‘inner tranquility’ looks cool now, consider what images were cool to you several years ago: Duran Duran’s logo? A Pontiac Trans AM? An image of Holly Hobby?! The popularity of tattoos in recent has puzzled me greatly.
