My kids are 9 and 7 year old little boys and their real father is going to jail soon for a 3rd dui. They know that he is sick (alcoholism). My oldest has extreme anxiety that is a result from the lies that he has told him. We are in counseling now and I’m not sure that seeing him in jail would help matters. I don’t want to keep them apart and hurt them though. The boys have a good relationship with their step dad but he isn’t dad.
