you don’t. Osteoporosis is a painful disease that causes bones to become very brittle. She may be afraid that if she remains sexually active, she may end up with a broken bone or something along those lines. Then she’d have to go to the hospital and it would be embarrassing to explain how she broke her hip or her leg or a rib….And that fear may be contributing to her low sex drive. She needs to talk to her doctor about the risks of remaining sexually active and to see if there’s anything she can do to minimize the risks of breaking a bone.
