The concept of the right brain and left brain has been a growing field of exploration and examination among scientists, psychologists, writers, and others since its relatively recent inception. It has been my observation, as with others, that society attaches less value to the right brain than the left brain. When someone suffers damage to the right brain, it is said to be minor brain damage because that person still possesses a faculty for reason and logical thinking. It is as if the creative and holistic qualities of a person’s thought were not as important. My question to you is: Why does there seem to be a devaluation of the right brain? Is it justified?
