Why are black people not more pissed off about slavery in America? I think if my family had been enslaved for labor (not to mention brutalized) to the financial gains of others, I might try to recover some of the money that resulted from their labors (as Jewish peoples attempt to reclaim assets lost at the hands of the Nazi’s). Is there enough documentation to substantiate claims? Are the courts willing to hear cases of this nature? Is it just too difficult to prove what is owed? Is it possible to forgive someone who is dead?
