I once went into a local church, and i was reading a plaque, it read something like this ‘Remember, you are in a house of God. You are blessed in his presence. Pray to him in his presence. Pray that the dead may rest in peace’. But what i cant get my head around is this, in order to get to Heaven, you must accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your saviour and master. This is belive and hold fast too, as i am a Christian myself. But if a person never accepted Jesus in their lives, then the Bible sais they go to hell, where its eternal death and torment. So, if we pray for a dead person to rest in peace, but we knew they were never a Christian, or accepted Jesus whole heartedly ever in their lives, arnt we then praying in vein?.
