Chistians are not supposed to woship false idols; yet many Christians worship a book (ie. the Bible). Could someone explain to me why? Is not a book, even if its the Bible, still just a book? There was once a class of mostly nuns who were listening to a professor of theology. The professor near the beginning of the class picked up the Bible and threw it across the room. This was to make the point that the Bible was only a book and that what was valuable was in the reading of the Bible and in the practice of Christian doctrine. Nonetheless, the nuns furious with this perceivably sacrilegious act, stood up and walked out. I am not trying to be insulting, but I found it curious as to why the Nuns walked out.
