death rate for young males

    When I was younger young males died and were maimed by car accidents at a fairly high rate. Now that cars and roads are safer is the total death rate for young males lower or are they finding new creative ways to maintian the average?

    And from some of the same reasons: car accidents still claim a lot of youth, especially males. Also drunk driving/driving under the influence. And guns. Drive-by shootings and accidental shootings. We have a lot of young men being killed maimed in the military in the last several years who are quite often not getting the help they deserve or were promised when they signed up. But if car insurance rates are any indication, young men are still dying/becoming maimed at a higher rate than other age groups or women.
