I have Cherokee-Choctaw heritage on my mother’s side going back about a 150 years ago (1/64). Now I don’t claim to be Native American by any stretch but I like to go to Pow-Wows occasionally to see how my ancestors lived. However, I get a little annoyed when I see blond blue-eyed people from Eastern tribes who claim to be N-A, with N-A names, telling me about American Indian culture. Frankly, I look more “Indian” than they do. My question is to all Native-Americans; especially tribes that require a minimum blood quantum: Does that bother you as well?
