Okay, this may seem like a weird question, but here’s my situation: I’m 31 and I haven’t yet had sex. It’s not because I’m ugly or fat or anything, but all through high-school and college I was incredibly stiff and formal around women. The few times I managed to get up the nerve to ask women out, I was shut down quick. This left me way behind the crowd, so to speak, as far as sexual experience is concerned. So anyway, I’ve learned over the years not to broadcast my sexual situation. It seems like women are totally shocked if I let them know this about me. Is it that they think if we have sex that I will become overtly attached to them? Are they looking for ‘experienced’ men? I mean, yes, I know that very few people, especially men, get to be my age without having sex, and that does make me somewhat odd, and I’m totally self-conscious about it now. It’s starting to drive me nuts, actually. There’s nothing ‘wrong’ with me except that I’m still a virgin. But why are women so freaked out about the concept of a male 31 year old virgin?
