Nate- I don’t know exactly where you are coming from with all this devil stuff. I Look at it this way, men are more likely to commit robery or murder than women are. Is it because the ‘devil’ tempts men more, or is it as I feel, that men generraly have more testosterone than women, which in turn MAKES them more aggresive. Also, poorer people are more likely to commit these same ‘sins’ than the rich. Is it because the ‘devil’ some how targets them more, as you are suggesting, or is it because of their rough social-economic exisitance that causes them to commit these so-called ‘sins’ or crimes. It the same thing with being Gay. If you got the right ‘set of genes,’ you’ll be Gay. It’s a lifestyle that can’t be helped and people like yourself should get off their high-horse and realize it.

It’s a puzzle, isn’t it? I don’t like to see straight people making out in public either go to the bedroom if you want to do that. I think it’s a matter of feeling that they (gays) are shoving it in our faces. Fine if thats their life style keep it to themselves. What do they have to march all over with signs saying I am gay? I don’t run around saying I am straight. If they are two adults and that’s what they want to do go for it but why do they have to advertise? If your God were to witness your writing, do you believe that He would appreciate how judgmental you are, Monique? According to the Bible, which I have read, cover to cover, Jesus Christ favored love and acceptance to all people – for He would not have been perfect had he not. On a somewhat different note: if God is omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), and omnibenevolent (all good), then why would He allow a person to live a lifestyle that He despises? Any answer you give to this questions presents difficult issues – is Satan more powerful than God, and therefore can cause a person to be a certain way that God cannot stop? Or, since God knows everything, why would He allow someon to have a lifestyle that was so miserable to Him? Is He evil? Does his omnibenevolence disappear, and He likes to chuckle and laugh at the misery this society provides to gay people? Or, better yet, does His omniscience disappear (conveniently for your judgmental views) and He just doesn’t know how to stop it or doesn’t know that it is going on at all? I think you need some new definitions of God before you start pretending to be Him.

To give you a straight answer I am a christian and in the Bible it speaks about gays and how it is a sin, so for me just like any other sin i do not agree with it. Now everyone slips up sometimes and sins because humans are not perfect but if you have gay feelings and you act on it then you are sinning and on purpose because it is continuously and you know exactly what your doing. Soo sinc i am a christian when i see it, it bothers me because i know it is wrong and it doesn’t even fit right… God did not make us that way and thats why gays cannot reprodce therefor they don’t have much purpose. The problem in our society today is way too many ignorant people. Many people believe that being gay is wrong, that gay people should not be allowed to be married, etc because it scares them and makes them uncomfortable. Well too bad! Many things make people uncomfortable and you just need to learn to deal with it! I find it completely rude and discriminatory to not allow gay men and lesbian women to show public displays of affection and to not allow them the same rights as straight men and women. They’re (gay/lesbian people) just the same as us (straight people) and everyone deserves love and compassion. So be proud and show your love! and anyone who resorts to physical violence because they don’t like what they see deserves jail time and the exact same thing done back to them, if they want to beat someone up for being gay then they should be beat up for being an ignorant, uncaring, hateful human being. Also, to all these biblical scholars we seem to have here, the bible has been re-written many many many times so how can we be sure that it was what god really said?
