Why do white women find East Indian men unattractive or ugly?

I do not think East Indian men are ugly in any case. Some are really more attractive than other men of all ethnicities. I don’t understand why any woman would think these men are unattractive. What could be the reason is that outside of certain cities or certain areas, some women may have never seen or met a guy from India, and in fact men from the subcontinent are quite distinct from other people in the world. It’s true…But I have never met a woman who specifically says Indians are ugly.

I am a white woman, and feel like you must be associating with the wrong women. Although appearance is somewhat important, I can’t imagine why any woman looking for true happiness would stereotype against a whole race. Intelligence is more important to me than looks.

There are quite a few East Indian men at my college, and although it might sound shallow, I’ve found that most of them have bad body odor (ever hear of deodorant?) and are too hairy. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen some attractive East Indian guys, but in my opinion, they’re not very common.

I agree with Ann from Kansass on this one. How you behave and think about yourself has an incredible effect on how attractive you seem to others. Also, I’m Indian and I get more than my share of attention for my looks (from all races!).

I personally find East Indian men attractive. But I think the reason behind what you’re perceiving is because East Indian men are not as sexualized in Western cuture. We have the latin lovers, etc, but generally in Western media, East Indian men are portrayed in non-sexual way, (as are Asian men).
