Because they can!They tear thru their own dressers and closets (and only set them straight when a parent gets on their case!) and, w/o a parent or dstore clerk supervising them, they’ll do the same in a store. It takes time and maturity for an individual to learn to treat material goods/property (their own or that of others)with respect. Good parenting starts the process.
