why are African Americans called african americans when one are those who are the descendants of slave brought here from africa invoulnatily and then the other consists of those who have come here willingly????? If i was to go over to Africa, they wouldn't even speak to me because i am not of pure African bllood and because i dont look like them. And many dont even like Americans!!!!!!!!! So why are we constantly named under the same title by those who shun people like myself? I dont mind the name because i am still proud of who i am, but this ponders me. Could mabye an African answer this or anyone with a response?
