I work for the local Department of Social Services. Both my ‘welfare’ clients and the wage-earning public treat DSS employees very poorly. They feel justified in cursing and making personal attacks against us, calling us lazy, useless, and anything else they can come up with. We work hard to make our clients’ lives better, we work hard to save the taxpayers money, and these people don’t treat other professionals this way. Why us?
