KymMemberWhy are white girls always dancing with other white girls and huggin' them and kissin' them on the lips and stuff? Also, why are so many white girls lesbians?User Detail :

David25888ParticipantIt's because in the nineties there were several mainstream movies that glamorized lesbianism. The premise is that heteroseuxual men find lesbians attractive, which according to mainstream heterosexual porn is true. So for the most part, in my opinion, it is heterosexual girls using the illusion of lesbianism to attract guys. That said, it is also much more acceptable now than it used to be for one to experiment with homosexuality - even more so for women, because guys will still be attracted to you if you have fooled around with women. However, there's still more of a risk of becoming stigmatized as a heterosexual man who has experimented with homosexuality, especially because it is through so-called gay sex that AIDS is transmitted.User Detail :

NoneofyabusinessParticipantI've noticed that a lot, too. I have been on numerous college visits, and there is always a party that the tour person will tell you about or take you to. White girls are very affectionate toward each other and don't mind kissing each other and sharing saliva. I find that to be trifling and also dangerous. All the females kissing each other, then kissing some guy, then kissing each other all over again. You may as well have everyone stand on over you and let them spit in your mouth. They get drunk and dance around on each other and lick each other like it's cute and fun.And It's not only in my eyes and yours, because there wouldn't be footage like 'Girls Gone Wild' and shows on MTV showing them doing this so freely. They have turned lesbianism into a 'cool' thing (which I still disagree with). I have no problem with this issue because I just laugh and do my own thang, but really ,white girls...what's up with that? Maybe since saliva from another person's mouth has been proven to help rid one of plaque, they do it for dental hygiene purposes.

Carrie EMemberI have been wondering the same thing and see it all the time. I think it is about all the attention they get from men for doing it; half the time I don't even think they are lesbians. Guys seem to love it. If you look around, every guy's eyes are on them.A female friend and I decided to test this theory once. I am married, and we just wanted to see the reaction. Well, we got offered money to grab each other's breasts, free drinks and a lot of attention - probably anything else we could have wanted, too.
I think it's fine if you are a lesbian to do this - even natural - but if not, then I think these women have some self-esteem issues. And I agree it is mostly white woman who do this. I don't think I have ever seen any black women doing it.

CamilleParticipantIt's not that so many white girls are lesbian, it's just that those who are tend to be more open about their sexuality, because it is, to a degree, more acceptable in the white community. In the black community, homosexuality is not as widely accepted, and therefore those feelings tend to be more repressed.User Detail :

AmericaParticipantBeing lesbian isn't limited to just white girls, I have friends from a whole bunch of ethnicities (Asian, white, black, Hispanic) who are lesbian/gay. But, in my experience, my white friends seem much more comfortable talking about it out in the open than my Hispanic/black friends; my Asian friends (those who are from East Asia and have lived there) don't seem to really care: they won't deny it, but they don't flaunt it, and they're not ashamed of it. They just think that someone's sex life should be their own personal thing. So it does run through many different ethnicities and cultures. It's just that there tends to be a change in how each one deals with it.

pjMemberAs a white non lesbian I can not answer correctly on whether there are more white of black lesbians. However, I can say that white society views girls kissing each other as non threatening. I have several friends that are not lesbians but think nothing of kissing or hugging eachother. Also somewhere there is a commandment that clearly states 'Let not a white girl dance alone' or so it seems.User Detail :

Rebecca HarrisMemberThe white culture in America right now is more open about homosexuality than many other ethnicities. It is easier to be visible when you know that even if your family rejects you, you can still be acceptable to your culture in general. The black and Asian lesbians I have known have a much more difficult time with rejection by their cultures and their families.User Detail :

CarmellaParticipantI have also seen this type of behavior. And it's not just older women that do it, either. This has happened with girls my age and when I was younger. If you were to look at a program such as Spring Break on MTV or that movie Girl's Gone Wild, you would probably never see a black girl or of any other race for that matter, kissing on another girl. I find it disgusting and disturbing. It's not that I hate lesbians, but the girls I've seen doing it are not lesbians. They just do it for the attention and think it's cute. Those girls need a reality check, because it's not at all attractive.User Detail :

s28517Participantyeah, you're right. i see that behavior all the time. i think they do it just to get attention from men. they're not necessarily lesbian. they're probably just bubble headed college chicks who are desperate to be noticed. the funny thing is that it's become so commonplace, it seems boring and idiotic at this point.User Detail :

AndromedaParticipantI am Hispanic and have absolutely no restrictions when it comes to talking to others about sexual matters or pretty much anything else. And so are my friends. It just depends on how you approach the matter. It is normal for some people to be shy about talking about their sexuality. You just have to know how to talk to them if you want them to share their feelings. This is normal and not really based on what race or creed they are. You probably don't know how to communicate with your friends, or they're probably just shy or a little bit prudish.User Detail :
