Cocoa19657ParticipantWhat's what all this talk about white people smelling like bologna or wet dogs when they come out of the rain? I have never met or smelled white people who have smelled the scent described above or scents for that matter.User Detail :

Ann L. LowensteinParticipantI guess if you lived on a diet of bologna sandwiches, it could affect the way you smell... Here's a question for YOU: Why do some black people think if a few dabs of cologne is good, bathing in the whole bottle must be great?User Detail :

ZackParticipantBut seriously, i think i know what smell you are talking about. That is the smell of success and a good work ethic. If you do happen to catch a whiff of this, inhale it deeply because I'm pretty sure it is contagious.User Detail :

Logan28736ParticipantHahaha... ha. Well thats an interesting question, but I think that everyone has a different smell, no matter what race they are. For example, one of my white friend's smells like his house, and one of my black friend's smells like carpet. But then again, it probably depends on who is smelling who.User Detail :

AmyParticipantI remember reading something recently about how people tend to be more sensitive to the scent of people from other races/ethnicities...something about it being an old survival instinct that allowed us to differentiate between people who were familiar and people who were 'intruders' and may have been a threat. I don't know how much evidence there is to back up this therory, and now I'm just wishing I knew where I had read about it.User Detail :
