If there is a god, in most religions he is a very fair entity. He would probily understand if you followed whatever religion you were born into. Just to be safe though I would respect your fellow man and follow the ten commandments.

just choose the religion/faith that makes the most sense to you. common sense. for me, Islam is common sense. for you, it may be something different. as long as it’s personal and whatever you choose/do doesn’t affect other people, i say go for it. frankly, it’s just irritating when people get into a shouting argument about what religion is the ‘right’ one. though i believe islam is the ‘right’ one about 99.98% of the way, the truth is that no one knows for sure.

I’ve studied many organized religions, systems of spirituality, and even an obscure cult-like doctrine(that was quite an experience!). I have found that there are many, many paths to enlightenment. Some people need religion to make sense of life and to understand their purpose in life. Some people walk away from religion feeling even more confused about life and who they really are. If you fall into the first category then, my advice to you is that you first, examine why it is that you believe in the existence of a heaven and hell then begin to explore what other cultures have to say about those subjects (if anything at all!). All spiritual systems have threads of commonality. Find them, scrutinize them, and create your own path. Whatever, you do, please do not succumb to the disease of self-righteousness that plagues most religious folks. People differ on the scale of spiritual evolution and hence adhere to different spiritual paths. If you fall into the second category then, my advice to you is to stop looking outside yourself for answers to things that mystify or confound you. You already know the answers you just have to access the part of you that has that knowledge. I suggest that you study different forms of meditation and spend time in natural environments.

A religious belief in regards to what your asking will not guarantee your passage into paradise. One can only hope that their deeds are acceptable to the Almighty in that submission to God’s Will is the only answer. In life we look to understand our purpose in this existence. We ask for guidance in all of our affairs, so all of our affairs have some spiritual meaning as well as a secular meaning. So it’s not a game where we shuffle our choices and choose one because what we really are seeking is a way of life, not a weekend retreat, or a one day vigil but a way where we are connected to God by our intention through all our daily efforts. The Creator has sent many Prophets to deliver one message. Worship God alone and serve no others. Outside of that man has made it very complicated by ascribing partners to the Omnipotent and also creating a heirarchy to follow in God’s place. you see I love your question because many will give you a page by page commentary as to what you should read, write, do, and say. But ask yourself is anyone of us guaranteed a place in Heaven? My take on your question is to make an intention to God to seek the truth without discrimination. We have examples in our life as to what is truth but if your intention is for a reward and your goal is not for God then you will never find the answer you need but maybe what you want. So what do you want? And determine the difference between your wants and what God is asking of you. The answer is where it’s always been and that is with you. God’s love is within all of us so until you decide to make this search your priority then why should the One(GOD) who has the answer make it their priority to guide you to the truth. Is it not true that we find peace through submission to God? Is there not one word for this statement? And if we all believe we belong to God then why don’t we ask ourselves these questions first?

Religion is man made. There is no ‘right’ one to follow you have to go by your heart and decide for yourself honestly what you think is real and fake.

The only response I can offer for you is to really give some thoughtful prayer or meditation to your question. Trying to understand what religion is true is a very personal journey for you. Although no religion should try to ‘guarantee’ a place in heaven, it should give you straightforward instruction on how to get there. No religion should try to make you believe that only a fixed amount of people reach heaven, or that God only loves people of a certain religion. If you ask God to show you the way in a sincere way, He will provide it for you.

The best answer I can give you is, well, no answer. Don’t believe me, but I can tell you that there is a true religion out there. I know because I have asked God and he told me. Now, before you get the wrong idea, let me say that, no I don’t claim to have had any visions or magical expieriences or anything like that. To understand what I’m saying, you have to go to a base belief that everyone can understand. I think (heavy emphasis on the ‘think’)that the only doctrine that EVERYBODY will agree on is that doing something right makes you feel good and doing something wrong makes you feel not good. Of course one can condition one’s self to not feel that, but if you don’t belive that, just look at a little child. God is out there. He is not going to smack you on the head saying ‘Hey dummy, here I am!’ We all have an inherent freedom to choose, be it to help an old lady or to murder someone. That is our most important trusts. God gave us that freedom, he expects us to use it and ask Him. Look around, and listen to what people say, but more importantly listen to what your heart says about what they are saying, because as I said earlier, everybody has an inherent ‘helper’ if you will, to distinguish between right and wrong, truth and fiction. Ask Him for help. Listen to what people have to say, but take everything with a grain of salt. Like I said, I want you to NOT believe me, I want you to believe the only thing in this world that you can belive unquestionalbly, your own heart. I’ve found truth, it is out there, and it doesn’t try to convert you by shouting scriptures at you. I know, because I’ve found it.

I doubt there ever can be one true faith. I don’t even think there *should* be. We’ve been fighting about it for eons. Most faiths don’t proclaim themselves to be the one and only; it’s one thing that attracted me to them. People all need different things from religion, and the same ritual cannot provide all things to all people. What religion you choose is what speaks to you. Look at them, read their holy books. Don’t necessarily take them literally, but read them. Talk to people- why do they go to that church or mosque or synagogue or that grove in the woods?

All religion is true except ISLAM! why ? Jesus himself said there will be no other prophet after him and he is the fullfilment of all propechies. As we knew Hindhuism, Budhism, Judaism and Christian are all by time before and when Jesus exists. But Islam is after Jesus and so you can think of it… And Islam is the only religion teach you to war and kill

of course being a muslim .i’ll tell you islam ,but i’m not going to tell you that, everyone has to look up all the religions for himself ,one thing i’ll recommend though is to belive in the one and only GOD ,if you r truly at loss ,this is one thing you’ll find in almost every religion ,islam, jews and some christians all do belive so ..i can’t talk about jews or christians much because it’s not my right to say things i’m not fully aware of ,but i know that in islam ALLAH accepts all who belive in him as the one and only, that’s a good starting point if you’d like and then you’ve got to research and ask and look up everything you can and i’d be glad to help you on any questions about islam and anything you’d like to know about but you have to be serious about this because this isn’t just a game this is maybe the biggest question you’ve asked yourself ever:)

Dear Douglas, i just wanted to answer your question, and 1st of all to let you know! i’m not going to tell you which religion is the only true one, because i don’t believe pressing something like that on someone is the right way to handle things! you may not want to go on reading this, that’s your choice but i strongly encourage you to keep on reading….because Jesus Christ is your answer! it says in John 3:16-‘For God so loved that world that He gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.’ If you ask Jesus Christ to forgive all your sins and ask him to take over your life..then because he loves you more than you can imagine, and his grace is stronger than anyone’s will ever be, he will forgive you! NO matter what you’ve done or said, just like that he will forgive you! then you will truly have a place in heaven, because Jesus said the only way to eternal life is through him! Give it a try and see what happens! God Bless! kt

I’m not going to tell you what religion to follow, but I am a Jew and I was taught in Hebrew School that though we are required to follow 613 commandments, everyone else only needs to follow the 7 laws of the sons of Noah. (obviously under those 7 fall more details, but I can’t remeber them all but I’ll try: Set up a court system, Don’t kill, you cannot eat a living animal, don’t engage in forbodden sexual relationships (i.e. adultery, beastiality, incest, etc…), don’t deny hgod through idolotry, don’t blaspheme or curse God, and don;t eat a limb off a live animal. There is actaully a group out there who calls themselves the Noachides or Sons of Noah – do a google search. As long as you follow the 7 laws and what goes with them, you will be fine.

What do you think heaven is, or hell, for that matter. It is true that, at the end of time, you will go to one of two places, but you get to decide which way you want to go. Heaven is where God is, and Hell is where He is not. The question is, do you want to be with God, who loves you eternally, or without Him?

I honestly, don’t believe anyone can give you that answer. If you seriously desire the ‘right religion’ then you will dedicate yourself to finding what suits you. It’s not only about the religion it’s how you practice it. What will place you in heaven is your intentions. Even if you have no die with no religion…. how did you live your life? No one can tell you what’s right for you that is something that you will have to dedicate youself to finding out because what is right for me or anyone else may not be best for you. Of couse everyone thinks their religion is the right one. It’s up to you to decide for yourself to finding yours.
