So I went to see ‘Alexander’ with my fiance and stayed awake just long enough to see the kiss between Alexander and his childhood friend (Jared Leto’s character whose name I can’t remember) and more than a few people got up and left the theatre after this. How is it that we aren’t developed enough as a society as a society that people can’t even watch an onscreen kiss between two men without being offended? Not just offended, but so upset by it that they have to leave? And if people leaving dismays me so much, it must really bother my gay friends who have to live the life daily.
