My girlfriend (37) says I don’t love her as much as she loves me. We’ve known each other 7 months. Because she lives with her parents, we see each other once a week at my place or meet for dinner/drinks elsewhere. She doesn’t call me much on the phone, just emails. You probably get the idea I’m not happpy I can’t have more access to her! Anyway, in response to her, I said I do love her (which I do) but I’ll grow to love her even more the better I get to know her whereas she thinks love is a state, you are in love or you are not, and if you are in love it’s the die-for-the-partner type. Surely I’m right? She’s only had one relationship 10 years ago which took 5 years to get over, if that helps you decide?
