I’m amazed at what took place in our office yesterday. A 26 year-old woman came to a job interview yesterday in our department with her four children in tow. She asked the supervisor to provide child care while she was in the interview. Needless to say, he declined and she got neither the interview nor the job. After she left a heated discussion developed in the office about single parents who deserve help versus irresponsible people having too many children and expecting others to take care of them. While I can understand the plight of single parents, I’m confused as to why people have kids they dont plan for when birth control in this country is free.
