I would like to know how Anglicans (I think you call them Episcopalians in the United States) feel about the fact that their church started because the king of England wanted a divorce. To me that doesn’t seem like a very noble beginning (as opposed to other Protestant churches which began for reasons of religious belief or as a protest against corruption, etc.), but maybe Anglicans/Episcopalians have another perspective on it. Do you think that it’s what the church is now that counts and not why it started?
