This is a valid question, posed by humans whose only concept of everything revolves around time. I can't comprehend 1000 years, let alone an eternity with my creator. Since we are humans, a mere creatation of God, our puny, earthly brains can't even comprehend a fraction of God's greatness. And because everything we see has a relationship to time (a beginning and an end) we can't comprehend something without either a beginning or an end.
