Joshua29147ParticipantI am an outsider trying to understand Christianity. Was Jesus Christ supposed to be a mortal son of God, an immortal son of God, or actually God Himself in human form?

Yahmdallah24328ParticipantJesus was God himself in human form. With that, he had to deal with most of the frailties that we humans have to deal with. He still possessed many qualities of the divine, but was fully human at the same time.

Ed-M25553ParticipantJesus was/is fully human and fully divine. God incarnated himself in human form in Mary’s womb and was mortal in the sense that he was born, grew up and experienced the same physical phenoma as the rest of us (pain, hunger, bodily functions, etc.) He was immortal in that, because of his divine nature, he was able to rise from the dead and lives forever.
