I'm a 34-year-old professional black man in Chicago. In all the places I've worked, it seems like whenever three or four black people hold a private discussion, white co-workers tend to stare at us or try to eavesdrop. Why the spy tactics? We're not planning an uprising, just talking about our lives, just like anyone else.
