My wife says blacks at her work have confided to her that blacks envy blacks who are lighter-skinned than themselves. They told her the lighter you are, the more desirable you are, and the darker you are, the less desirable. Has anyone else encountered this belief? This is true. Many females who are darker are seen as less desireable to black males or males of any race for that matter. Since dark men are the ‘in thing’ it doesn’t actually apply to them but in some cases it does

Willy Lynch was a white supremacist slave owner who thought that it would be a good idea to seperate africans/african americans by any means nessesary. Age, Color, hair type, anything. His syndrom has gone on for a little bit too long. As a fair skinned african american female, i feel that we are all beautiful people, and it is only white supremacy that says light, or white is better. Your wife should not entertain this type of thinking (not saying that she does).
