Why do they say male gynecologists have a dead sex life? Is it true, or is it just another myth?

Would you come home and eat pizza if you made them all day long?

Well, my obgyn has four kids as well, and I know his wife... I don't think their sex life is dead. They are crazy for eachother. I think perhaps if it is a statistic of some sort it would be because of their hours kept on the job... no one chooses when to go into natural labor or when to need an emergancy inducement or c-section... so one would have to figure that they spend a lot of time at the hospital... it would be up to the individual Dr. to set boundaries as to how many hours were spent away from home!

I asked a medical student about this and he gave me an insight on the situation. We tend to imagine these male GYNs looking at naked sexy women all day getting turned on. What they actually see, apart from annual pap smears, is women with yeast infections and other vile stuff oozing out of their vaginas, women with symptoms of urinary and STDs that would digust the average person. Needless to say, none of that is a turn-on. Perhaps some of them have a hard time separating these experiences from their relationships with healthy women. Just Curious

I know someone who directed porn films. He had to quit because it made sex too gross for him. Perhaps there's a correlation to your question.
